Terms of Use

Effective date: July 27, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Chloris mobile app, website, invite links, subscriptions, and related services ("Chloris", the "App", or the "Service"). By using Chloris, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Chloris.

What Chloris does

Chloris helps users organize plant collections, track watering and care, upload plant photos, and receive AI-assisted plant identification and diagnosis guidance. Chloris is designed for personal plant care and general informational use.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Chloris. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Chloris only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your account and device secure. You must provide accurate information, use Chloris only for lawful purposes, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe an account is being misused or creates legal, security, or operational risk.

Plant diagnosis is guidance only

Chloris uses AI-assisted tools to provide plant identification and plant health suggestions. Results may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific plant, environment, climate, soil, chemicals, pests, or growing conditions.

Chloris is not a substitute for professional horticultural, agricultural, medical, toxicology, veterinary, food safety, or pest control advice. Do not rely on Chloris to determine whether a plant, fungus, treatment, chemical, fruit, leaf, flower, or soil condition is safe to eat, touch, inhale, use around children, use around pets, or use around other animals. You are responsible for your plant-care decisions.

Camera, photos, and user content

You keep ownership of the photos, plant records, notes, and other content you add to Chloris ("User Content"). You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, and analyze User Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve Chloris and provide features you request, including AI diagnosis.

You are responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the rights needed to upload it. Do not upload illegal content, content that infringes someone else's rights, or sensitive personal information that is not needed for plant care.

Subscriptions, free trials, and billing

• Chloris may offer optional paid features through Chloris Premium, including monthly or annual auto-renewable subscriptions.
• Subscriptions and free trials are billed and managed through your Apple App Store account. Apple handles payment processing and refunds.
• Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store account settings. Deleting your Chloris account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription.
• Free trial availability, subscription prices, features, and promotions may change. Any required price-change consent is handled through Apple.
• Except where required by law or Apple's policies, payments are not refundable by Chloris. Refund requests are handled by Apple.

Creator invite codes and affiliate disclosure

Chloris may use creator invite links and referral codes. If you arrive through a creator link or use a creator code, we may attribute your signup or purchase to that creator. Creators may receive a commission or other benefit if referred users purchase Chloris Premium.

Invite codes, discounts, promotions, and commission terms may be changed, paused, or ended at any time unless a specific written agreement says otherwise. Creator dashboards or reports should show limited referral statistics and commission information, not unnecessary user personal information.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Chloris for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activity.
• Do not attempt to access another user's account, data, photos, or subscription.
• Do not interfere with, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or attack Chloris or its systems.
• Do not use Chloris to create or distribute misleading, dangerous, or unlawful advice.
• Do not upload malware, illegal content, or content that violates another person's rights.

Service changes

We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time. We try to avoid disrupting paid features without good reason, but the Service may change as we improve Chloris, comply with law, address security issues, or manage platform requirements.

Account deletion

You can delete your Chloris account from within the app. Account deletion removes your account and associated app data as described in our Privacy Policy. Some records may be kept where required for legal, security, accounting, subscription, refund, dispute, or fraud-prevention reasons. Account deletion does not cancel an active App Store subscription.

Third-party services

Chloris relies on third-party services such as Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, OpenAI, and hosting providers. Their services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

Apple terms

If you download Chloris from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) applies to your use of the App unless Chloris provides a valid custom EULA in App Store Connect. No warranties

Chloris is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that Chloris will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or suitable for any specific plant-care outcome. AI outputs and plant-care suggestions are not guaranteed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chloris and its owners, service providers, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, plants, crops, animals, or property, arising from or related to your use of Chloris. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Consumer rights

These Terms do not limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live. If a local law gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights continue to apply.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and may notify users in the app or through another reasonable method. Continued use of Chloris after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
